Ani Po Speaks

Ever feel like you’re hitting a brick wall? Or you’re spinning out of control? Have you ever gotten to a place where you just don’t know what you’re going to do? Life has many lessons and often we have to step into a valley before we peak. Up and down we go, riding peaks and valleys…like a roller coaster of life.

Today Ani Po, while doing her morning workout, is bumped by a Pilgrim. The Pilgrim critiques her techniques because she’s not doing it the “right” way. Ani Po smiles, as she knows it’s not how hard we try or do, but the spirit within her techniques. “A wise teacher once told me it is not how hard we try but the spirit behind it. We shall rise and fall…only to stay the course.”
One never knows the pilgrims we shall meet along the way. Listen to their story…they’re great teachers. The student becomes the teacher once again. Through the students actions we are taught, or reminded, how not to be or how to be.
Just when Ani Po thought her day was about to begin she here’s a familiar voice…that of the Pilgrim. The Pilgrim continues to prod, trying to break the warrior of her spirit.
The Pilgrim speaks pointing fingers at other groups calling them idiots, morons, and non believers.

Ani Po smiles once again and says,”the only non believers are those who call others non believers. Sharpen your tongue but use it only when needed.”

Ani Po not knowing the way or the way she’s going, is on The Way or on the path to where she is going. It is in “not knowing” she is knowing; willingness to go blindly forward she finds happiness; in happiness she is led to paradise.

The Pilgrim interjects once more, “yes…but you don’t have to deal with what I have to deal with today.”

Ani Po asks what the Pilgrim had to deal with.

The Pilgrim states, “I have to deal with an inconsiderate bitch of a boss who doesn’t listen to anything or anyone but her ideas.”

Ani Po smiles and looks directly at the pilgrim, “it sounds like you and her have a lot in common.”

Angrily, the pilgrim strikes Ani Po with words, “I work very hard, served two tours of duty and don’t need this job. Furthermore, she is the most difficult person I have ever met!”

Ani Po replies again, “when we call another an angry bitch, we are holding a mirror to our inner self. Often what we see in others is merely a shadow effect of our being. All we can do in life is share our thoughts, but let those of power make the necessary adjustments. If we do not agree with these assessments, we have options to either accept them, dislike them while we continue doing what we do best, or look for employment elsewhere. Why waste energy on something you do or do not have control of?”

The Pilgrim, “what do you mean by wasted energy?”

“If we have control of something than we needn’t worry. Similarly, if we do not have control of something then it is out of our control and we needn’t worry. Either way, we needn’t worry.” Ani Po wished the Pilgrim well and the Pilgrim thanked her, as a smile is now projecting from his face. The message was well received.

On the way out, the warrior is stopped by a fellow warrior. Her friend asks, “how was your day?” Ani Po just smiles, “It was a great day. It’s always a great day when you can stop to aid pilgrims along the way.

Stepping into the canvas with willingness. Willingness to see the unseen…where no one has ever gone, believe what others do not and follow the path leading to nowhere. Those daring…those willing to follow this path, shall find happiness. Paradise awaits…get on your way…take a leap of faith! Wishing you a glorious and magical day!
