Grounding Desires in Reality

Grounding Desires in Reality

Vice or special treat

Ungrounded, airy-fairy at the least
crystals screaming at me, specificity of features remaining unknown
meditation turning tricks, inner call-boy burning fits
would much rather sip on the nectar of agave’s bosom
neatly pouring three fingers as our measuring stick
bowing to the spirits, entering trance-like fixation
onto voided space, never witnessed, called upon
undiscovered territorial beast puffing at sight.
Fusing with and collaborating amidst
mapacho from deep in the heart of the jungle, hand-picked
blessed by Great Mother, kissed by lineages dating back before time;
smokey Joe giving the nod, quietly sitting under the maple tree
deeper into the cosmic undoing, relearning ancient tongues
speaking, singing harmonious and vibrational tunes
gifted by the star clans people presented upon the heart.
Lest not forget a pint of our favorite frozen custard
the flavor of the day playing tricks on our psyche;
just a special treat, one day, two, then the next
now habitual, far from grounding, dirt-like magnetic pull
lower and lower vibrational frequencies
until we are cleaned out, zapped, rhythm in caffeinated intravenous.
Round and round we go, like a Ferris wheel
forward and back, non-stop till the cyclical end;
party till you puke or bound by chains of deepest desires
all these vices and trice short-lived, releasing dopamine
deeper diving meditative thought endless supplies of pleasure chemicals.
While the desires of flesh grounded for a nanosecond
the desires of spirit lasting an eternity;
Stepping into the Canvas free as a bird unbound by reality itself
no longer worrying about air or ground, for yet we are.

So I made to Day 29 of a 30-day challenge, thank you Diana C. for this months stretching of the minds

Much gratitude for those who take time to read, ponder, and allow the inner workings of self to come forward. Grateful for the feedback, love shared, and more importantly, the Dance with Inspiration. Deep Peace.
