About Joseph

Stepping into the Canvas is about taking the first steps into the Canvas of Life. It is said that God is the creator and nature is His Canvas. In a world of technologies, distractions and light-speed evolution, we are left to remain in the dark. Truth is laid before us, falsely, by our collective whole. You are invited to step out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary. We are not meant to be suppressed and controlled, fearful and miserable, alone and scared, hateful and destructive. No, instead we are meant to be free. Free to Love unconditionally, creating the life we were meant to enjoy. Instead of divide and conquer, we shall come together as one. My intent is to share my thoughts in this blog, so that it provokes others into a self-discovery of themselves. While I have found happiness in my life, my hopes are to charge my viewers to see a different side to their current situation. It is said there is a spiritual solution to every opportunity, why not give it a try. I am a Father, Husband, Friend and Brother, a Healer, a Teacher, and a Student. Enjoy studying energy works, self-realization, Love in Action, and just the nuts and bolts of how things tick. Please feel free to look around and Share away! Much Love to you and Peace Profound...Joseph

Lost Forgotten Tale

Lost Forgotten Tale

unearthed with a golden shovel

Like passersby gazing distantly past our every thought, masked by the dramas of the day, quarantined to self for all eternity, giving the usual lighthearted greeting not felt by even the most sensitive of beings, left flat, unchecked blowout waiting for tire’s spin, remaining in a melted tumultuous blob of thickened, a blackened sea of despair, blanked stare into the abyss before a specific point in time.

Little bunny sits frozen to prairie grazing on what-ifs and whatnots, scared and trembling by the presence and powerful energetic being waiting to pounce at spontaneous moments. Whether you smoke the bitterness with dragon-like breath aftermath or you eat a magical muffin with promises of fairy-tale-like endings, life will move through the land.

Stagnant or forward-moving anecdote lost in the rubble piles outback, heroes journey begins treasure-trove untold and written for the thousandth time. The article in question, self-discovering awaiting the artist’s canvas-like expressionism or told by another, petroglyphs painting us on cave walls.

Sister owl hooting and hollering at once told fables of old, second-guessed misstep and fatal blow to the gazelle, out of the blue thickened clouds transcending downward into the ancient fabric of intertwining fading memories. Passing the stories for generations to come, handing down mythical proportions or as real as they come, forever telling tall tales of us.

Rest now, laying weary head upon the stones, wisdom of the ages soaking in illuminating sun’s rays of hope, and wishful thinking is all we have to hold. Gazing now into the past, present, and future quass-like measurements left for interpretations untold, left for self-grasping straws repose in the safety of the campfire glow.

The time is now, spoken awareness born in this very day, taking up arms against self-inflicting destructive myriad conclusions. Happy ending not reserved for masseuse laying hands, untold stories are beholding new meaning, yet jackpots, showering gifts, and all of this.

Doubting Thomas knocking at death’s door, drinking down mouthful swallowed reality, outcomes far out-weighing painful bliss of yesteryear. Step forward, Stepping into the Canvas of Life, filled with vigor no longer piss and vinegar, end to the means not yet visualizing something more painful as it may all of this will have been worth it.

Thank you J.D. Harms for this challenge. Not for the mere putting together of but for the choosing of whom among the great, Jeff Langley, Jessica Lee McMillan, Joanna Vang, Paroma Sen, Aspen Blue, Jonah Lightwhale, Amy Jasek, Josie Elbiry, ., Dean K Miller to name a few shall I choose. So many to thank for their inspiring daily, weekly words, but it is in the dreams of seeing another sharing inspirations. For this piece I chose, in the form of a golden shovel

in time
life will move through the land,
painting us on cave walls
telling tall tales of us
in the safety of the campfire glow
and all of this
all of this will have been worth it.

Much gratitude for those who take time to read, ponder and allow the inner workings of self to come forward. Grateful for the feedback, love shared, and more importantly the Dance with Inspiration. Deep Peace.

Tea with Fear and Despair

Tea with Fear and Despair

a prose encounter with two of the wisest teachers

Photo by Kimzy Nanney on Unsplash

Welcome

Welcome friends fear and despair

Come in

Come in, please

Would you like some tea?

Chamomile or special blend?

We’ll have the special blend if that is what you are serving

Good choice

Now

Now while we steep and ponder, letting the herbs and grains soften their lovely hold

Let us talk about our days.

Fear, what’s going on in your world?

Oh, the world is horrible. I can’t go out; I can’t do all things that I would enjoy. There’s not much for me to do. I can’t go anywhere.

Hmmm, I see.

What about you despair?

Oh, the world is falling apart. I can’t take the pain anymore. My heart bleeds.

Please

Please, I wish every day the pain would go away, but it doesn’t

Hmmm, I see

Why don’t we have some tea now? It should be done steeping now.

Let us hold the tea, feeling the warmth of Mother’s kiss upon our hands.

Imagine the herbs and flora hand-picked from the earth, given freely for our health.

The hydrangea

The licorice root

The hibiscus

The hyacinth

Ginger’s rooted thoughts

Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory offerings

Lest not forget the ancient red bush’ secrets and story-line.

Oh, let the smells float, drifting into the nares, calming inner spirits

Just for a moment

*long exaggerated smelling sound

Oh, enjoy this moment with tea

Enjoy this moment of feeling

Something so eloquent

Now, when you are ready, go ahead and take a sip

Allowing your taste buds to feel the savory blend and magical ease of the herbs and the Mother’s gift

Allowing that fear or despair to pause for but a moment

Allowing peace to fill your oropharynx

Just for a moment

Hold it there

Hold it there

Imagine something different; whatever comes to mind will do.

Now swallow.

*Warm quenching sound of taking a drink

Allowing it to coat the stomach

*long exaggerated smelling sound

Allow it to fill the area of the solar plexus with warmth

…and forgiving peace

…and quiet

Just for a moment.

Just for a moment, let the chatter of the mind disappear while focusing on how our belly feels

Comforted at this moment in time.

At this moment in time, we feel comforted.

*Exaggerated Sighing sounds and drawn out exhales

Letting the breath out, taking another sip

Let us chat

About life’s events

They come, they go

Filling our heads with their thoughts

Depending on our cornea and retinal scans’ lens, we see a world as we see it.

But what if we felt something different?

What if we felt a deeper calling, higher purpose, or whatever you want to call it?

Do we follow that?

Do we follow that feeling or thought?

Alright, now let it all go, even the feeling or calling of what may be.

Drink up; we are almost done here.

I am so glad we got to talk. Thank you both for stopping by.

I do hope this tea has calmed your nerves, allowing peaceful resting invites for the many.

Now go home!

Often like songs of the ether, universal thoughts or wherever these story-lines come from, this little prose came to life with recorder in hand. So I share it here, for all to enjoy. Please take a sip, let me know what comes to thought. With smiles from my heart to yours, I gift to you, Tea with Fear and Despair.
